Makharashvili (BG)
Giorgi Makharashvili is a Georgian painter and muralist based in Tbilisi. His work often features spiritual and mythological figures, as well as the merging of human and natural conciousness.
What I would like to express through my works ... I am trying to bring out expressing deep mystical connections between human and his inner invisible universes, personal sad changes and transformations, non-specific faces of different conditions.
Giorgi MakharashviliTogether with Beqa Tsiklauri, he is part of the artist duo BG. In 2020 they created several murals as part of the "Rustavelebi" community initiative, to rase awareness of the ecological challenges facing the industrial city of Rustavi.
He is one of 14 Georgian artists participating in the exhibition “Hidden Horizons - Contemporary Art from Georgia” in Bayerisch Eisenstein, Germany in 2026.
