Utah & Ether
Utah and Ether are a US graffiti duo consisting of Danielle E. Bremner from New York and Jim Clay Harper VI from Chicago. Both are members of the well-known graffiti crew MUL ("Made You Look") and have been active internationally for many years, with a strong focus on trainwriting. They regularly document their activities during travels that have taken them to more than 30 countries.
Utah and Ether have also left their mark in Europe. In Germany, their pieces have frequently appeared on trains and at railway stations, for example in Cologne. Their work has been repeatedly documented and discussed in specialized magazines and online platforms.
A notable chapter in their practice is their time in the South Caucasus. As part of their video series Probation Vacation, they travelled through Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, focusing in particular on the region’s metro systems. There, they not only left graffiti as part of their international trail but also had a lasting impact on the local illegal graffiti scene, especially the trainwriting community.

Beide gehören zur Graffiti-Crew MUL („Made You Look“) und sind seit vielen Jahren international aktiv, vor allem im Bereich Trainwriting. Ihre Aktionen dokumentieren sie regelmäßig auf ihren Reisen durch inzwischen mehr als 30 Länder.
Auch in Europa haben Utah und Ether Spuren hinterlassen. In Deutschland tauchten ihre Pieces regelmäßig an Zügen und Bahnhöfen auf, beispielsweise in Köln. Über einschlägige Magazine und Online-Plattformen wurden ihre Aktivitäten mehrfach dokumentiert und diskutiert.
Ein eigenes Kapitel ihrer Arbeit stellt der Aufenthalt im Südkaukasus dar: Im Rahmen ihrer Videoreihe Probation Vacation bereisten sie Georgien, Armenien und Aserbaidschan und widmeten sich vor allem den Metro-Systemen der Region. Dort haben sie zum einen Graffitis hinterlassen, als Teil ihrer international verteilten Spur, aber vor allem auch die lokale illegale Graffiti-Szene, vor allem die Trainwriting-Szene nachhaltig geprägt.
