Two-headed Alchemist Lion
The first of two Murals by Masholand in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, created for the Mesto=Galerie Urban Art Festival.
It explores her childhood memories related to the Czech Republic and combines them with the symbolism of the country.
The mural is dedicated to Ruska Bariashvili.
Now you are two lions in one - bravest, strongest and fiercest you have ever been.
MasholandArtist Masholand from Georgia placed elements typical of the Czech Republic on this building in September 2024. On one side is a two-headed lion, which symbolizes the Czechs and signifies power and sovereignty, while also enjoying Czech beer and connecting traditions. On the other side of the wall (you must see) she incorporated elements inspired by the ground squirrels who live in Mladá Boleslav and a combination of their childhood memories of the Czech Republic and research into the region. This side of the mural continues the theme by showing the nature and heritage of the region.
