Black Cats hunting for Khinkali

A whole story happened to this place. To the left of the cats a brand new hotel is being completed, and to the right is a huge construction site abandoned halfway, surrounded by an old iron fence, crooked and rusty.

The hotel is trying to improve the surrounding area so that its tourists do not shy away in horror, and in the summer they sealed the hole in this fence with a new OSB panel.

The panel just begged to be decorated, so I quickly drew a black cat with a khinkali in his teeth. He immediately became a street legend, everyone took pictures of him, hotel builders rejoiced every day at the new decoration and its popularity, and protected it from vandals.

Then their landscaping reached this area, they carefully removed the panel and placed it nearby, promising me to return it later as it was. Naturally, the zealous townspeople stealed it on the very first night. Theft under the reason “otherwise somebody will steal it”, a classic of the genre.

The landscapers grieved, and then wrote to me, saying that we are now cleaning up the space, putting up a new fence, and can you come and do something beautiful on it. We are already accustomed to your little pet. And on the 17th we have an opening.

So I came, even though it was chilly and wet there, made a sketch, showed it to the hotel staff, they approved, and today, in about three hours, skillfully drew a cat jumping for a khinkali. The plot developed - It’s funny that a hundred meters further to the right, the same cat is walking with the same prey along the wall of the house. I drew it to replace the missing one, and then the order arrived. Now the plot is developing all the way across the street. I love it!
