Face of the City & White Bubble Lips

Face of the City is a public art project by Katastrofffe (Milena Kravetz) that places approximately 50 plaster heads in urban spaces across Europe. Installed outside galleries and institutional contexts, the works appear directly in the cityscape in locations such as Florence, Prague, Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Tbilisi.

Each sculpted face reflects the emotional and psychological state of contemporary urban life - burnout, overstimulation, and pressure - turning the city itself into both subject and exhibition space. The anonymous figures confront passersby in unexpected moments, creating a direct, unfiltered encounter between artwork and viewer in everyday environments.

In Tbilisi, she collaborated with the Russian artist Comicada, who placed her iconic Bubble Lips beneath her sculpture.
