The Ball
On an ordinary basketball court in Rustavi, I tried to use color to capture and express the energy, movement, and that very moment when the game begins. In the artwork, I depicted two hands reaching for the ball - the exact instant of tension and possibility, when no one yet knows who will catch it, but everyone knows the game has already begun.
Sport has always fascinated me because of its unique ability to bring people together. It is a space where the energy of the city converges - competition, friendship, adrenaline, and joy all come together on a single court, creating an entire spectrum of emotions.
I wanted this court to be more than just a place to play. I wanted it to become a place where colors, movement, and people come together to create a shared story.
My sincere thanks to Niko Movement for this opportunity - for allowing me to bring new life to this court in Rustavi and to remind us once again how art can transform urban spaces and breathe new life into them
